The Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT) https://www.ait.ac.at/en/about-the-ait/ is with over 1,300 employees Austria’s largest Research and Technology Organisation and an international key player in many of the research areas they cover. The research is concentrated in the fields of digital safety & security, energy, health & bioresources, innovation systems & policy,low-emission transport, mobility systems, technology experience, vision/automation & control. AIT recently opened a “City Intelligence Lab” and aims to become an international model for the urban planning processes of the future.
